Become French Champion

(each breed club may choose a specific solution, please contact your breed association for more details)

For any request for homologation, the dog applying for the title of French Champion must be confirmed (except for dogs living abroad).

A dog living abroad with a French co-owner must be confirmed before applying for the title of Champion.

Reminder  : When the genetic identification is carried out by the SCC, the prints are automatically registered in our database. When the genetic identification is carried out by an external laboratory, the print can be used if it meets the ISAG 2006 criteria, but must be registered in our database beforehand.

Conditions

  • CACS must be obtained under three different judges, including at least one French judge.
  • After obtaining the CACS for the Championship of the Société Centrale Canine or the Nationale d’Elevage, the other CACS must be obtained within a maximum period of 2 years; all CACS obtained before are valid for the homologation of the title.
  • The request for homologation of the title of French Champion must be presented to the breed club in charge within a period of 2 months after obtaining the last award. After this period, the file will be declared closed and the holder of the RCACS having value of Championship will be able to postulate the homologation of the title of Champion, if he fulfils the stipulated conditions.
  • The health and behavioural tests established by the breed club in charge must be passed within a maximum of two years from the date of obtaining the Championship CACS or the National Breeding Certificate.
  • For FCI groups 1 and 2: a character test or a working certificate obtained in France.
  • For hunting dogs: a working award obtained in France.
  • For the 7th and 8th FCI groups: passing the natural qualities test established by the breed club in charge of the selection
  • For dogs submitted to a working trial, the CACS of the Championship Show will only be approved if, within two years (in case it has not been previously obtained), the dog obtains the required award, otherwise this CACS will be attributed to the dog having obtained the RCACS provided that it fulfils the above-mentioned conditions. (within the same timeframe).
  •  If a dog obtains the CACS of the Nationale d’Elevage and the SCC French Championship in the same year but does not have a “Special”, the CACS of the Nationale d’Elevage will have the value of a “Special”.
  •  If a dog obtains the CACS of the Nationale d’Elevage and the Championnat de France SCC in the same year, it keeps these awards, but the RCACS of the second show can be transformed into a CACS. The obtaining of two RCACS during “Speciales” is equivalent to a CACS of “Special”.
  • For any homologation of a title of Champion, the subject must be identified DNA, the presence of the genetic print in our base is obligatory for the taking into account of the homologation
